Local Attractions Near Danville Bed and Breakfast
Located in East Seminole County, we are adjacent to Lake Harney which is a part of the St. Johns River. Two boat ramps, Lee Park and Mullet Lake Park, are located less than 3 miles away. Lake Harney is 3 miles across. The St Johns River winds its way north to Jacksonville, FL. There are two wonderful kayak and canoe rivers. Little Econ is a wandering natural waterway bordered by oak and pine. Deep Creek is bordered by picturesque cypress. Both of these rivers extend more than 5 miles making for a wonderful day on the river.
Take an airboat ride* down the St. Johns River and see Florida at its wildest, and to finish your excursion, try some "gatortail" at one of the nearby fish-camps. Fort Lane Park is located at the East side of the property, located on Lake Harney, and is part of the Geneva Historical Society.

The skies of Danville also offer rest and relaxation. Observe neighbors flying their general aviation and light sport aircraft. Danville is located on Southerland Strip FD92, and these machines of the sky can often be seen, skating across the wild blue yonder lazily. Sitting on the side porch, you may see hawks, osprey, eagles, sandhill cranes or wild turkeys in the yard or on the airstrip. For recreation, use a bicycle to ride the quiet country roads, 2+ miles to the small community of Geneva. A private gate at Danville gives you access to the Lake Procter Wilderness Area, a 500 acre natural lands park for hiking and equestrian use. Attending Daytona Bike Week?
